Masking Tape
In a previous article on this site, I recommended using labels. And I mentioned that Muji’s masking tape is good, but I found something similar at Seria, a 100 yen store!(Photo above)
Available in two widths: 15mm (3M roll) and 30mm (2M roll). Perforated.
They look almost the same, except for that they have pre-printed letters for contents and a date.
The width of the perforation is not freely selectable, only at every label. But a roll is much shorter than MUJI’s. MUJI’s prices seem more reasonable, as 30mm is 290 yen for 9M rolls, and 15mm is 190 yen for 9M rolls.
As for the tearing feeling, I failed with the first three. Maybe it takes a while to get the hang of it.
I made a comparison chart so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.
Muji | Seria | |
15mm wide | 9m roll | 3m roll |
Price (tax not included) | JPY190 | JPY100 |
Surface | Plain | Pre-printed (contents/date) |
Perforation | every 10mm | every label |
30mm wide | 9m roll | 2m roll |
Price (tax not included) | JPY290 | JPY100 |
Surface | Plain | Pre-printed (contents/date) |
Perforation | every 30mm | every label |
Tearing | Easy | Likely to fail first |
Conclusion: In terms of unit price, MUJI is the best value. When you consider the ease of tearing, it seems to be good, but considering whether or not you will actually use up 9m of it, you may want to try buying the 100 yen one at Seria. If you are a label person and use a lot of labels, I recommend Muji.
Meat Storage Sticker
I found this in the kitchen corner. The size of a sticker is about 2cm high.
In fact, when I buy a large amount of meat, I sometimes freeze half of it, but I had trouble distinguishing which is what when after frozen, because they looked same after all. Especially the ground meat was my difficulty. I have a marker pen in the kitchen, but for some reason they don’t write well on plastic wrap or on freezer bags!
But with this, I was able to stick it perfectly! See, this is a ground pork and beef pack!
The label itself is small, so it’s a little hard to write on it, but you can just stick it or write symbols on it, as long as you know what you’re doing. I think I can use this one.
It was a tour of 100-yen store where I always make some discoveries!
