100yen goods Vol 4: Free yourself from stress in fridge

Here is again about 100yen goods.

Even though I was busy watching the Olympic games, I still had to cook. What’s in the fridge? Oh, no, I can’t see all the way to the back. It’s a pattern we tend to fall into if we’re not careful.

So here are three recommendable items!

Hook for condiment tubes

Besides meats and vegetables, there are bottles, tubes, and other types and sizes of condiments in the fridge. When you want to use them, they are gone somewhere in the back, or they may have fallen over and spilled…

You will find many kinds of items for condiment tubes in 100yen shop, but this is the one I chose! Pinch and hook.

I believe we always have at least three or four of them in our fridge. Among the rest, I had four in my fridge, and those were always jumbled in the door pocket. So, I bought it!

All you have to do is put the tube in between and hang it on the door pocket as shown in the picture label.

BUT! It didn’t work as I had expected.

Because the tube is too long, it gets caught on the bottles in front of it.

What about other tubes? I tried tubes of Chinese condiment!

It’s surprisingly good! They are not long like Wasabi and other Japanese condiment, so they can smoothly be taken out and put back. And, I can see it at a glance which is what although they have similar colors and Kanji.

I often bring wasabi to the dinner table, but I don’t think it smart if I leave the hook attached. But Chinese condiments are just for cooking, so you don’t have to worry about it. Just take out a tube with the hook, use it for cooking, and hang it up again.

I used to buy Chinese condiments in bottles, but the bottles took up a lot of space and the lids got dried stiff after I kept awhile. The tube is always fresh since it is used up in a short time.

So, this is a recommendation for those Chinese condiment tube people.

Mayonnaise Stand

The second one is this.

But I’m sorry. This is not an unexpected use.

I was a little skeptical that I would ever need one of these, but with a mayonnaise freak in my family, I found this is a MUST in our fridge. The tube doesn’t fall over, and the contents don’t fall to one side or the other. Now, I can put it in and out without stress.

Tray with handle

The third one is this. It really works for organizing messy bottles! You can pull the bottles out at one action. None of them would be left at the very end. The key is that the container has a handle so you can pull it out easily.

The wide type that can hold all the jars is good, but it would be heavy to pull out, so I use several slim types.

What do you think? Summer is the season when refrigerators tend to be full. If you can keep your refrigerator clean and clear, you will certainly be released from the mess AND have the advantage of reducing unnecessary shopping!
