Hang and Hook

Let’s see “hang” and “hook” technique today.

The 100-yen goods have evolved remarkably. Maybe you know better than me, but here are some tips of “hanging” tidies that I recommend.

“Hanging” has four advantages.

  • Does not take up flat space
  • Easy to take things out
  • Easy to clean
  • Irregularly shaped, hard-to-stack items can be put away.

“Hanging” in the kitchen

First, the hangings you often see are the hooks over the stove.

Hooks from 100 yen stores or strong neodymium hooks are perfect for frequently used pot and frying pan lid.

The point, however, is not to hang them too many. The wall over the stove top tends to get greasy. I recommend two or three at the most.

Next is under the sink.

An irregular-shaped cookers like a fried egg cooker is difficult to stack with other pots and pans. In addition, the fried egg cooker comes top in its frequency of use to make Bento. But hanging it solves all the problems!

“Hanging” in Bathroom

I used a magnetic towel holder to hang detergent sprays in the bathroom.

Now, the bottoms of the sprays don’t get slimy!

By the way, the towel holder I used is from Yamazaki Jitsugyo. It really has a very strong magnet.

I also hang our washbowl on the wall. It keeps the bathroom clean and tidy.

The trick is in the washbowl. There is a hole on the rim, so it can be hung on any hook.

The toothbrushes in the washroom are also hooked behind the mirror door with special hooks for toothbrushes.

The toothbrush threads do not stick. Hygienic and tidy.

“Hanging” on closet doors

Closet doors are surprisingly even and smooth. You can use hooks like the one on the left to hang backpacks that are difficult to put away inside.

It prevents the backpack from losing its shape, which is a win-win situation.

On the outside of the closet, I hang my dog walker and shopping bags that I use every morning and evening.

However, if you hang too many or too heavy things, it may distort the door and interfere with opening and closing, so be careful about that.

“Hanging” in the Storage Space (Nando).

On the left is a garbage bag (plastic bag). The one with a hole in the handle is hooked on the wall inside. When you are ready to use it, just pull it off. You can tear off the slippery bags smoothly until the last piece.

On the right side are the power cables for electric griddles. You will never lose them in the box by just hanging.

I’m sure there’s more, but that’s it for today.

I hope at least one of them will be a hint for you!

Later, I found similar hooks and a washbowl in Nitori.
